Roseville, CA (September 5, 2002) – Schoolhouse Software announced today
the formation of a new wholly-owned subsidiary company, KnowledgeCore Software,
to focus exclusively on the administrative software needs of adult and vocational/career
education schools. Schoolhouse Software will assign existing sales, development and
support staff associated with the AIM-Student Relationship Management™ (AIM-SRM) product
line to the new entity. The AIM-SRM solution will continue to be marketed nationwide to
adult and vocational/career schools under the KnowledgeCore Software name.
"From a customer standpoint, there will be little or no change – our existing customers
will still call the same phone numbers and talk to the same support people. It’s just
that the overall business reached a point where having a separate company was warranted,"
says Robert LeVine, President and founder of parent company Schoolhouse Software,
and who also wears the title of President of the KnowledgeCore subsidiary. "The
creation of KnowledgeCore Software is a natural progression that will provide
greater focus for the entire organization. I am extremely excited about the
opportunities that lie ahead for KnowledgeCore."
KnowledgeCore is now home to the AIM-SRM solution, the first adult and
vocational/career school management system of its kind in the nation to
be designed around the concepts of assessment, achievement and accountability.
AIM-SRM solves the data management problem facing all adult and career education
schools: how to capture and manipulate demographic data to make proactive decisions
aimed at meeting student needs and attaining career goals, in addition to the need
for meeting federal and state reporting requirements. AIM-SRM captures data in a
centralized database, and then provides adult and career school administrators,
teachers and counselors with instant access to student information and class rosters.
Access to the AIM-SRM application is provided seamlessly from virtually any client
device in the district via the Internet or network using Citrix® MetaFrame®.
AIM-SRM customers have reported up to 50% lower client hardware costs, significant
savings on energy costs, and reduced paperwork for teachers and school staff.
